Ilene H. Fingeret is of counsel to Strassburger McKenna Gutnick & Gefsky in Pittsburgh. She has practiced in the area of estates and trusts for more than 20 years.
Ms. Fingeret has developed estate plans for families with a wide variety of needs and financial circumstances. In addition, she has handled the administration of multi-million-dollar estates and is well-versed in the complexities of estate administration, including probate, taxes, and distribution of assets. Well known for helping clients create private foundations and distribute funds to charities, Ms. Fingeret’s practice also includes counseling on the creation and management of special-needs trusts for families who wish to make long-range arrangements for disabled family members. She also assists families in preparing for the problems associated with aging and advises them on the management and conservation of family assets in the face of costly nursing home care.
In Orphans’ Court, Ms. Fingeret’s practice includes the litigation of will contests, guardianships and the representation of trust beneficiaries.
Ms. Fingeret and her husband have lived in Squirrel Hill for more than 30 years.
