Lydia A. Gorba is an Associate Attorney at Strassburger McKenna Gutnick & Gefsky. Lydia works primarily in the areas of civil litigation, personal injury, and medical malpractice. Lydia has experience working with clients who have been involved in many different types of accidents including motor vehicle, slip and fall, and ATV accidents. She has also handled wrongful death claims as well as medical negligence claims.
Lydia believes that building a relationship with each and every client is the necessary foundation to handling any type of case, but is of utmost important in the world of personal injury and medical malpractice. She values communication and will not leave you wondering about the status of your case.
Lydia started her legal career at SMGG in the summer of 2016 as a Law Clerk. After proving instrumental in the many matters she assisted with, she was asked to join the firm as an Associate after graduation.
Lydia graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in May 2017, cum laude. While there, she served as a Research Editor for the University of Pittsburgh Law Review. In addition, Lydia was inducted into the University of Pittsburgh Chapter of the Order of the Coif honor society, an honor bestowed upon those graduating in the top 10% of the class.
For her undergraduate studies, Lydia attended Juniata College from which she graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of science degree in Psychology.
Lydia is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association.
Outside of the courtroom, Lydia enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends, including her two cats, Kevin and Nino, and her dog, Dolly.
Lydia grew up in Portage, PA and currently resides in the Lawrenceville area of the City of Pittsburgh.
